Scott Bergman, DC, CTN, DAAIM; Director, Chiro Kinetics
Scott Bergman, DC, CTN, DAAIM is a chiropractor, board-certified naturopath, diplomate in integrative medicine, and certified Functional Medicine practitioner in Walnut Creek, California. Since 1993 Dr. Bergman has been the director of Chiro Kinetics, an integrative health clinic combining chiropractic health care, rehabilitation, pilates, core yoga therapy, Functional Medicine, and biological resonance. He uses these resources to treat all age groups and varied levels of health, from those with chronic inflammatory and autoimmune conditions to world champion ultra endurance athletes. For 25 years, Dr. Bergman has presented edifying health, nutrition, and fitness information internationally in business, education, and community settings. Dr. Bergman completed his chiropractic training at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic.
Ryan Lazarus, DC, MS, CNS, IFMCP; Clinical Director/Owner, Lazarus Wellness
Ryan Lazarus, DC, MS, CNS, IFMCP is the clinical director for Lazarus Wellness, located in the Napa Valley and Diablo Valley. He is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and is a board-certified Nutrition Specialist. He also has a master’s degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine as well as a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. He served as faculty at University of Western States, specializing in Functional Medicine for metabolic syndrome and is an expert in diabetes, autoimmune, and digestive disorders.
Jeff Volek, PhD, RD; Professor/Researcher, Dept. of Human Sciences, The Ohio State University
Jeff Volek, PhD, RD is a Registered Dietitian and Professor in the Department of Human Sciences at The Ohio State University. For the last two decades, he has performed cutting-edge research elucidating how humans adapt to diets restricted in carbohydrate, with a dual focus on clinical and performance applications. His work has contributed to the existing robust science of ketones and ketogenic diets, their use as a therapeutic tool to manage insulin resistance, plus their emerging potential to augment human performance and resiliency. Dr. Volek has secured several million dollars in research funds from federal sources, industry, and foundations. He has been invited to lecture on his research over 200 times at scientific and industry conferences in a dozen countries. His scholarly work includes 300+ peer-reviewed scientific publications and five books, including a New York Times bestseller.
